AUTOGYRO

There are three models of Autogyros currently offered by Willsbridge:

1)      The MTO Sport – This is a tandem seat open cockpit gyroplane.  The open cockpit provides superb visibility for observation missions.  The performance is (take off run, climbing and weight capacity) is better than any of the enclosed gyroplanes.  The MTO Sport is the lowest cost gyroplane by AutoGyro and is priced very competitively.   There are over 800 MTO Sports in the World.  The MTO Sport is currently used by Tomball Police Department.  Equipped delivered price is:

2)      The Calidus – This is a tandem seat enclosed cockpit gyroplane.  Again, visibility is outstanding with full field views.  You can purchase a fully enclosed canopy or a summer canopy (open on the sides).  The Dept. of Justice is currently evaluating the Calidus.  There are over 150 Calidus in the world.  Equipped Delivered price is:

3)      The Cavalon – This is the latest design by AutoGyro.  It is an enclosed cockpit side-by-side gyroplane.  We except this model to be in full production by March 2012. Equipped Delivered price is:

Options for these aircraft are relatively similar. We recommend a radio and transponder with basic flight instruments.  Night lights can be added.  The 914 (115 hp turbo) engine is recommended for operations above 5,000’ MSL and in hot humid areas.

As for law enforcement specific options, we recommend the DST camera systems.  These can be provided in HD EO (day light) cameras and FLIR Photo 640 (IR) cameras.  Cameras are operated by a hand control and can be configured for cellular downlink.  The cost range is largely dependent on the type of cameras (EO, IR or EO/IR).  Budgets for camera can range from $30,000 to $64,000.

We can also provide police radio integration using the Garmin 340 Audio panel, which allows the tactical flight officer to speak through the headset on the police radio and communicate with the pilot without interfering with ATC calls.
